Inventions
that make a driver just marvel at technology such as backup cameras have become
a revelation. Now, thanks to the backup camera, the driver need not fear
hitting unseen obstacles when they want to back up their car. Backup cameras also eliminate the need for the driver to strain their necks and eyes
while trying to make out how to swing
the steering wheel to avoid driving over the lawn or hitting skateboards,
bicycles and trikes left lying around in the drive way by carefree children. The
most creative and safety oriented use of the modern camera is its use as a
backup camera in cars.
Backup cameras
aid the driver by providing a rear view image of a vehicle on a screen mounted
in the dash or in the rear view mirror. Backup cameras are a unique type of
video cameras, also known as reversing
cameras. They are different from
other cameras because the image produced on the LCD of your Indash Navigation System, is
a mirror image.
Other wise a driver’s left would be the cameras right and this would only cause more confusion and miscalculation of where obstacles may lie rather than being a useful machine. The last thing anyone wants is to run over a small child, but this also helps the driver avoid running over less precious obstacles.

Being such a
useful technological device, it comes with many features that are designed just
so the user can reap the benefits. For example seeing at night while driving
can be a strain on the eyes, but thanks to backup cameras with infrared night vision seeing what is
behind you at night is much easier to accomplish. The cameras are also placed at such an angle
that they are pointing downwards, giving a full view of the ground and anything
else that might be laying there, while still capturing the surrounding objects;
walls, boundary lines, trees, etcetera.
They are
also available as optional factory accessories in trucks, range rovers, and
sports vehicles. The display is wired in such a way as to detect backup
movement of the vehicle and provide a clear image/video of it, while displaying
maps, apps and directions at other times while the vehicle is in forward
motion.
In addition
to these advantages when added to large vehicles such as tow trucks or semi-trucks
the driver can have the advantage of controlling the angle or direction of the
camera remotely from the cab of the truck. These cameras, available in wired or wireless
kits, can be produced for specific cars, according to the requirement of the
user, hence making sure at all times to satisfy and secure the drivers view and
vehicle.
